‘Lucky Stars’ is the latest release from British band Everyone Says Hi. It’s a tender ballad that leans into the strength of its relatable lyrics and huge, anthemic chorus. Further texture comes from the presence of a hauntingly beautiful string section, which adds a luscious, cinematic quality to the already moving release. “I’ve written a lot of my favourite songs in my old flat in Leeds,” explains frontman Nick Hodgson. “There’s definitely something special about the place for me. I decided to stay there for a few days and write. ‘Lucky Stars’ is a love song pure and simple.” Everyone Says Hi are dropping their self-titled debut album on January 31st, 2025. -Dan Peeke
